The Family cycle is intended to give all ages a chance to cycle together along a defined 8km (5 mile) route with quiet roads, common land and an ice cream stop!
All types of bicycles and all ages are welcome. Under 14 should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Start and end will be at Minchinhampton School playing field.

Finding a cycling event that is suitable for the whole family can be tricky, the Cogfest Family Cycle Ride or the “Ice Cream Route” as we like to call it is a great ride for all the family!
Grab the bikes and helmets and go on this short but perfectly formed 5 mile(ish) ride. It’s a great way to burn off energy and explore the local countryside.
The route has been designed with little legs (and big ones too) in mind and is perfect for them to pedal around. Taking in parts of Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons along with some great quiet lanes, including the lane leading to the famous Winstones Ice Cream Factory.
The Winstons Ice Cream factory is the perfect stop for a glorious ice cream and amazing views, before pedalling through the village of Amberley; giving the youngsters the chance to pedal always their excess energy, while you have the chance to enjoy some of our most beautiful local countryside, before heading back into Minchinhampton and a heroes welcome at the finish line!
